Maybe Mr. Lavrov thinks he is in a Bond movie? Judging by his statements recently, it sure seems like his connection to reality is barely tangible at best. NATO is a defense alliance. Countries join voluntarily – just look at Finland and Sweden, who were neutral for decades, and decided to apply only after russia showed how unhinged it really is. The only country that is actively trying to rule the world right now is russia, and it is failing miserably at it.
